The role primarily manages a portfolio of Upstream/Wells contracts, alongside selected strategic and high-complexity agreements across the broader energy portfolio. It plays a critical interface role between Category Management, Sourcing, and Business collaborators, ensuring contracts are fully aligned with category strategies, sourcing intent, and enterprise value objectives.

The role also advances digital contract management capabilities through CLM platforms, analytics, automation, and AI-enabled solutions, contributing to procurement transformation and category-led value creation.
Key Accountabilities
1. End-to-End Contract Lifecycle Management
Lead and manage contracts through all lifecycle stages including implementation, execution, performance management, amendments, renewals, extensions, and close-out.
Own post-award contract management activities for strategic, core, and operational contracts aligned to category strategies.
Ensure seamless transition from sourcing and category-led award decisions into operational contract execution.
Lead contract kick-offs to align collaborators on obligations, governance, HSSE requirements, supplier performance expectations, and category objectives.
Ensure contract documentation is accurate, complete, and audit ready.
Manage achievements, deliverables, and contractual commitments across the lifecycle.
2. Contract Execution & Operational Management
Monitor contract utilization, spend, and commercial performance against category and business objectives.
Manage contract pricebooks, catalogues, buying channels, and procurement compliance.
Strong expertise in contract governance, risk management, compliance, commercial optimization, and supplier performance management.
Experience working closely with Category Managers to deliver category-led value outcomes.
Experience in global, matrixed organizations.
Working knowledge of CLM tools (e.g., Sirion), ERP systems (SAP, Ariba), and procurement platforms.
Experience supporting digital transformation, analytics, or continuous improvement initiatives.
Desirable Criteria
Experience across categories such as Wells, MRO, Refining, HSSE, Facilities Management, Digital & Technology, Capital Projects, Engineered Equipment, and Site Services.
Exposure to category strategy development, segmentation, and supply base optimization.
Experience in complex negotiations and dispute resolution.
Knowledge of category management principles and industry-specific commercial models.
Experience with analytics tools such as Power BI and spend analytics platforms.
Experience in large-scale global energy or industrial organizations.
Additional Information
Strong working knowledge of procurement and contract systems including SAP, SAP Ariba, CLM platforms, and integrated P2P systems.
Experience using contract analytics, spending analytics, and Power BI to drive insights, reporting, and value realization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for analysis and collaborator reporting.
Operates in a complex global collaborator environment, collaborating with: Business Contract Owners (CAMs), Global & Regional Category Managers, Category Delivery Teams, Sourcing Teams, Procurement Operations & P2P, Finance, HSSE, Legal & Contracting Advisors, Supplier Relationship Management Teams, Suppliers, and Project/Operations Leadership Teams.
Strong commitment to governance, compliance, ethical standards, and HSSE principles.
Ability to work across global time zones, including occasional out-of-hours engagement.
Role is critical to enabling category-led value delivery, procurement transformation, operational excellence, and sustainable commercial performance across the contract portfolio.
