Our mission is to ensure equal access to justice and improve the lives of low-income communities by providing high-quality legal representation, strategic litigation, valuable legal advice and meaningful collaborations, outreach, and community education.
JOB OVERVIEW: LANWT seeks a dynamic, self‑motivated Supervising Attorney with vision, initiative, and a strong commitment to public interest law to lead its Legal Advocacy for Health Project. In addition to providing daily legal representation to clients, the successful candidate will supervise the work of the team and collaborate with partner agencies, including school districts, medical providers, shelters, and crisis centers to provide coordinated, holistic advocacy.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The principal duties of the Supervising Attorney include overseeing the office’s litigation and other advocacy, planning and implementation of outreach to and collaboration with members of the low-income community and community groups, and fostering supportive relationships with the local bar. The Supervising Attorney will also handle their own caseload proportionate to their management and administrative duties. The successful candidate will provide strong leadership, supervision, mentorship, and support to staff while promoting a culture of accountability, collaboration, professional growth, and high-quality client service.
