Requirements

Full job description
Job Type: Full-time, long-term contractor
Workplace: Remote
Schedule: Full-time, 8:00 am - 5:00 pm CST
Compensation: $1,500 - $2,000/month
HireHawk connects skilled professionals worldwide with meaningful remote opportunities at U.S. and Canadian companies. We believe strong talent can be found anywhere and deserves the opportunity to contribute to high-impact work from anywhere in the world.
For this position, HireHawk is recruiting on behalf of a U.S.-based employment law firm focused on identifying and supporting potential plaintiffs in employment and labor law matters.
About the Role
This is not a cold-calling, telemarketing, or traditional sales role. You will not be working from pre-built calling lists or expected to spend your day making outbound calls. Instead, this is an investigative research position focused on identifying the right people through strategic research, data analysis, and information gathering. Your primary responsibility will be to build highly targeted lead lists from scratch by researching companies, employees, and publicly available information across multiple sources.
You'll investigate California employers, identify current and former employees who may qualify for potential employment law cases, verify and enrich contact information, and develop scalable research processes that improve the firm's ability to identify qualified leads.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys solving research challenges, uncovering hard-to-find information, connecting data from multiple sources, and continuously improving research methodologies. You'll have the autonomy to evaluate new tools, recommend better research strategies, and build repeatable systems that produce accurate, high-quality results. Responsibilities
Research California employers that may be involved in potential employment or labor law violations.
Identify current and former employees through investigative research using public records, online resources, professional networks, databases, and specialized research platforms.
Build targeted prospect lists from scratch rather than relying on pre-existing lead lists.
Locate individuals who may qualify as potential class or representative action plaintiffs based on defined case criteria.
Research, enrich, verify, and document accurate contact information using multiple data sources and verification tools.
Cross-reference information across various platforms to validate identities, employment history, and contact details.
Maintain organized and accurate research records within the firm's CRM and databases.
Design and improve repeatable workflows for employer research, people identification, lead enrichment, and contact verification.
Evaluate and recommend research databases, sourcing platforms, skip-tracing tools, AI solutions, and investigative technologies.
Test new research methods and measure which approaches produce the highest quality and most accurate results.
Deliver thoroughly researched and verified lead lists that support the firm's outreach and case development efforts.
Assist with additional online research projects, competitive intelligence, and digital investigations as needed.
Must Have
Minimum of 3 years of experience in investigative research, lead research, skip tracing, due diligence, or advanced lead generation.
Proven experience building prospect or contact databases from scratch through independent research.
Strong internet research skills with the ability to connect information from multiple sources.
Experience using multiple people-search, sourcing, data enrichment, contact verification, or investigative research platforms.
Demonstrated ability to locate difficult-to-find individuals and validate the accuracy of contact information.
Excellent analytical thinking, attention to detail, and written English communication skills.
Highly self-motivated with the ability to work independently during Pacific Time business hours.
At HireHawk, we make a promise to our customers – a promise to not only meet, but consistently exceed, expectations.
Our energetic, committed team has a depth and diversity of experience, with competence in fields as varied as the humanities, engineering, marketing and business management. Team HireHawk is represented equally by both sexes, and works with a well-rounded perspective.
HireHawk’s wide service network is another advantage. We are able to delight customers everywhere in the country.
