As Senior Legal Counsel – Employment, you will serve as a trusted advisor to the People team, executive leadership, business unit leaders, and functional management, providing expert guidance across the full spectrum of employment law matters.
The role is primarily focused on supporting business units in the UK, while also delivering employment law support and coordinating employment-related matters across Continental Europe.

As our Senior Legal Counsel – Employment you will provide strategic, expert legal guidance on employment matters, helping Computershare navigate an evolving employment law landscape with confidence.
You will ensure compliance with employment law while delivering practical, people-centred solutions that enable informed decision-making and help protect and strengthen Computershare’s reputation, culture, and values.
Some key responsibilities include:
Provide strategic, risk-based employment law advice and guidance across a broad range of matters.
Draft, review and maintain employment-related contracts, policies and legal documentation.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and governance requirements.
Deliver employment law training and education to stakeholders.
Represent the company in employment-related proceedings and manage external counsel where required.
Review commercial agreements and employee benefits arrangements for employment law compliance.
Monitor legislative developments, identify emerging risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Oversee legal aspects of DSARs, whistleblowing matters, employee investigations and workplace disputes.
Collaborate with legal, People and business teams to deliver effective, commercially focused outcomes.
Manage the company’s whistleblower function for the UK and Continental Europe.
What will you bring to the role?
You will bring strong commercial acumen and the ability to balance legal risk with business objectives, providing clear, pragmatic advice to senior stakeholders, including executives, People teams, and business leaders. Experience supporting cross-border employment matters, particularly within Europe, would be advantageous.
Above all, you will be a collaborative and trusted partner who combines sound judgement, integrity, and a people-focused approach to deliver practical solutions that support business success while protecting Computershare’s reputation, culture, and values.
Other key skills required for the role:
Strong expertise in UK employment law, with knowledge of investigations, disputes, outsourcing and employment-related commercial contracts.
Commercially minded, with excellent legal analysis, drafting and negotiation skills.
Proven ability to influence and advise senior stakeholders, translating complex legal issues into practical business solutions.
Strong organisational skills, sound judgement and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Collaborative, proactive and adaptable, with high levels of integrity, professionalism and discretion.
Knowledge of Continental European employment law and additional language skills would be advantageous.
