PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBLITIES
Coordination and monitoring of staff, scheduling systems, payroll and timekeeping systems, educational tracking systems and other systems that support the Nurse Manager
Customer service to patients, staff and medical team members
Interviewing and recommending the selection of candidates
Ordering of unit supplies, equipment and facilities management
Take a proactive role in efficient operations of the unit
Responsible for the overall leadership and supervision of the Health Unit Coordinator and other assigned staff
Managing, collecting and reporting of unit data
Other assigned duties
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s Degree in a medically related or public relations field
AND Four years of experience as a Health Unit Coordinator
OR High School graduation or equivalent and four years experience as a Health Unit Coordinator and a UW Supervisory Skill Certificate.
Equivalent education and/or experience may substitute for minimum qualifications except when there are legal requirements, such as a license, certification, and/or registration.
