They are responsible for maintaining an aseptic environment, monitoring patient conditions, and managing specialized diagnostic equipment.

Candidates must have completed a formal Radiologic Technologist program or an invasive cardiovascular program and hold relevant national certifications such as ARRT or RCIS. Proficiency in Neuro, Vascular, and Hybrid procedures is required, along with current BLS certification.

Assists the Interventional Radiologists, Neuroradiologists, Neurosurgeons, Vascular Surgeons, Thoracic Surgeons and Cardiologists during a variety of technical procedures including but not limited to percutaneous interventions, diagnostic and therapeutic vascular procedures, invasive procedures, biopsies, drain placements, AAA, TAG, ECMO, and Intra OP Angio for Craniotomy in any of 4 IR suites and in all Hybrid OR/IR rooms, under the direct supervision of a physician. Participates in all daily duties necessary to perform high-quality patient care, imaging and support within the Interventional Radiology Department and Hybrid IR/OR rooms. Responsible for obtaining optimal radiographs and assisting the physician in an aseptic environment. Must be capable of patient monitoring and demonstrate knowledge of appropriate response to changes in patient condition. Must maintain in-depth knowledge of complex diagnostic and interventional supplies and equipment and be capable of assisting with their use in the hybrid IR/OR setting and in the Interventional radiology suite. Must be available for on-call shifts as necessary. Must keep proficient in CPT Coding.
