The Charge RN provides clinical and operational shift supervision, managing patient flow and directing unit staff. Responsibilities include coordinating admissions, discharges, and transfers while serving as a clinical resource and mentor.
Candidates must have an Associate Degree in Nursing and a valid New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License. BLS certification and a minimum of one year of nursing experience are required.

Our General Medical Unit Charge RN responsibilities include:
• Provide leadership and supervision to nursing staff during assigned shifts.
• Coordinate patient care activities, including admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Assign and adjust nursing staff assignments based on patient acuity and staff competency.
• Serve as a clinical resource and mentor for nurses, promoting best practices in patient care.
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control guidelines.
• Facilitate communication between nursing staff, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
• Monitor patient care quality and safety, addressing any concerns promptly.
Associate Degree in Nursing
State of New Mexico or Compact State Nursing License
BLS certification REQUIRED at time of hire
Minimum one year of nursing experience required
