The AHSA provides daily oversight of clinical operations across medical, mental health, and dental services within a correctional facility. Responsibilities include managing nursing staff, ensuring compliance with NCCHC and PREA standards, and handling administrative duties such as budgeting and scheduling.
Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted Florida Registered Nurse license and an active BLS CPR Certification. A minimum of two years of experience in health services administration within a correctional or acute care setting is required.
NaphCare is hiring an experienced and motivated Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) to join our team of medical professionals in the Jacksonville Pre-Trial Detention Faccility in Jacksonville, Florida.
As the Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals within a controlled environment, where security is top priority and the days are never dull, to ensure the medical department is well managed and staff are meeting NaphCare policies, guidelines, and expectations.
The Assistant Health Services Administrator (AHSA) assists in maintaining the overall administrative responsibilities within the facility to ensure our patients in residence receive quality care that protects their rights, dignity and health. Additional duties and responsibilities may include and are not limited to:
Must have the ability to stand for long periods, lift and move patients (up to 50 pounds), bend, squat, reach, push, pull, walk significant distances, and perform physically demanding tasks like CPR, all while maintaining good balance and endurance throughout a shift.
