Brigham and Women’s Hospital is seeking a Physician Assistant to join our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and Special Care Nursery (SCN) team. In this highly collaborative role, you will help care for critically ill neonates in Level II and Level III settings, working alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional, family-centered care.
About the Role

Key Responsibilities
• Provide clinical care for critically ill neonates in the NICU and SCN settings. • Attend high-risk deliveries with the NICU team and support timely stabilization and admission of ill neonates. • Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to review patient data, participate in rounds and implement individualized care plans. • Perform emergency and advanced procedures, including but not limited to endotracheal intubation, needle thoracentesis, thoracostomy, paracentesis, umbilical line placement, PICC line placement, peripheral arterial access, lumbar puncture and bladder catheterization. • Practice under the supervision of an attending physician and report administratively to the department administrator or chief physician assistant. • Perform all responsibilities in accordance with state and federal regulations and institutional policies, including the BWH PA Scope of Practice, Prescriptive Guidelines, approved clinical privileges and BWH PA policy. • Maintain appropriate licensure, certification and professional credentials. • Perform other duties as assigned.
