About the Role
Join a fast-paced adult and pediatric diabetes clinic where Medical Assistants are central to patient care and daily clinic operations.
You will room patients, perform phlebotomy, complete medication reconciliation, download diabetes technology data, and help maintain efficient patient flow. Medical Assistants support the clinic based on patient needs rather than being assigned to individual providers, making flexibility and teamwork essential.
What You’ll Do
Room adult and pediatric patients and obtain height, weight, blood pressure, and other vital signs
Review medications and allergies and document information accurately in the electronic medical record
Perform phlebotomy, point-of-care testing, and specimen collection
Download data from continuous glucose monitors, glucose meters, and insulin pumps into the patient’s chart
Help coordinate patient flow across the clinic and communicate delays
Prepare and turn over exam rooms and maintain clean, stocked patient care areas
Queue prescription renewals and enter orders as directed by a licensed provider
Support same-day appointments, interpreter coordination, and special clinic workflows
Provide backup assistance with patient check-in, check-out, scheduling, and telephone coverage
Maintain medical equipment and supplies, including quality control and expiration monitoring
Who You’ll Support
The clinic provides care to adult and pediatric patients managing diabetes and related health conditions. Medical Assistants work alongside physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, behavioral health specialists, exercise physiologists, nephrology providers, and patient service representatives.
Depending on clinic volume and assignment, a Medical Assistant may support approximately 15–30 patients during a shift.
What Success Looks Like
You will be successful in this role if you are:
Comfortable performing phlebotomy across pediatric and adult age groups
Confident learning and working with diabetes technology
Flexible and able to move between different responsibilities
Organized and attentive to detail
Able to recognize urgent situations and ask for help promptly
Dependable and prepared to arrive on time for your scheduled shift
Curious, collaborative, and eager to learn
Comfortable working in a high-volume clinical environment
Why Join This Team?
You will join a diverse and collaborative clinic where providers and experienced Medical Assistants communicate closely and support one another.
The role offers exposure to advanced diabetes technology and clinical workflows that go beyond traditional rooming responsibilities. Team members are encouraged to ask questions, continue learning, and contribute to patient care across the clinic.

0-1 years related work experience required.
Basic familiarity with computers. Ability to navigate at a basic level within web-based applications.
MA, EMT, CNA, LNA certificate or diploma; or at least 5 months of direct patient care experience in a clinical or research setting, such as: experience working as a medical assistant (MA), a patient care technician (PCT) or a clinical nursing assistant (CNA); nursing or medical student with completion of one clinical rotation.
