The Clinical Tutor will deliver nursing education in both classroom and clinical settings to support students in achieving registration competencies. Candidates must be a Registered or Enrolled Nurse with a current New Zealand Practising Certificate and at least 5 years of recent clinical experience. We’re growing our academic team at the Healthcare Academy of New Zealand (HANZ) and looking for Registered or Enrolled Nurses with a passion for education and experience in one or more of the following areas:
As a Clinical Tutor, you’ll be a key part of delivering the Diploma in Enrolled Nursing (Level 5), supporting ākonga/learners both in the classroom and on clinical placements. This role involves guiding learners to apply theory in practice, develop essential nursing skills, and achieve the Nursing Council competencies required for registration. You’ll work closely with our Clinical Placement Coordinator and workplace preceptors to ensure a seamless, high-quality learning experience.
You are an enthusiastic, knowledgeable clinician who values education and is ready to invest in developing future nurses. You thrive in diverse teaching environments, are confident communicating across cultures, and understand the importance of both academic and practical learning in preparing students for professional practice.
