The Occupational Therapist is responsible for evaluating, assessing, and treating individuals with physical, cognitive, or psychosocial impairments. They must develop and implement rehabilitative treatment plans and provide patient education across various facilities.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a current Texas state license. A BLCS certification from the AHA is also required, along with the ability to travel between service locations.
Staff Occupational Therapist (OTR) is responsible for evaluation/assessment, treatment, education, planning, utilization of exercises including administering occupational therapy modalities, treatment, and rehabilitative procedures for individuals limited by physical injury or illness, a dysfunctional condition, cognitive impairment, psychosocial dysfunction, mental illness, a developmental or learning disability whether due to trauma, illness, or condition present at birth. Some travel may be required in the provision of services between facilities and job functions. This position summary contains the most relevant duties, responsibilities and does not exclude other assignments not mentioned.
