Provide prompt and efficient emergency nursing care to patients transported via the Mercy Health Life Flight Network. Assess, plan, and evaluate patient care while acting as a professional representative and educator for the institution.
Requires an Associate's degree in Nursing, a current Ohio RN license, and 3 years of critical care experience with at least 1 year in emergency care. Multiple certifications including BCLS, ACLS, and CAMTS-approved advanced certification are required or must be obtained within a specified timeframe.
Responsible for providing emergency nursing care in a prompt and efficient manner to all patients transported via Mercy Health Life Flight Network. Responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, documenting, and evaluating patient care in conjunction with another Critical Care Transport Care provider. The Critical Care Transport Nurse acts as a professional representative of Bon Secours Mercy Health to the community, as an educator to professional groups, to emergency medical services and promotes Mercy Health - St. Vincent Medical Center and Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center as regional referral centers. Assists in the provision of care to patients of all age groups (neonate, pediatric, adult and geriatric). The Critical Care Transport Nurse will be hired in on a ground Mobile Intensive Care Unit base with a progression towards rotor wing flight cross training if interested and openings are available.
