Job Summary
As a Medical Assistant, you'll play a vital role in delivering outstanding patient care by supporting providers throughout the patient visit. You'll ensure a smooth, efficient clinical experience while maintaining professionalism, compassion, and patient confidentiality. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative, patient-first mindset.
What You'll Do
Assist providers with exams, procedures, and patient care.
Room patients, update medical histories, and prepare them for exams.
Maintain efficient patient flow and prepare exam rooms between visits.
Set up instruments, equipment, and procedure trays; assist during procedures.
Prepare and document lab/pathology specimens and communicate results as directed.
Accurately document patient visits in the EMR.
Respond to patient calls, questions, prescription requests, and scheduling needs.
Maintain exam room cleanliness, sterilize instruments, and manage medical supplies.
Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
Assist with medication prior authorizations, referrals, and other administrative tasks.
Support the practice team with additional responsibilities as needed.
High School Diploma required
Certified Medical Assistant preferred
Medical Terminology knowledge
1-2 years' experience in a medical office (dermatology practice preferred)

Compensation Range: $19.50 - $25.11 per hour. Final offer will be based on a combination of skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
