Oregon State Hospital (OSH), a division of the Oregon Health Authority, is seeking dedicated and compassionate Primary Care Physicians to join our multidisciplinary team.
As OSH’s Primary Care Physician, you will provide non-psychiatric medical evaluation and treatment for adults with severe mental illness in an inpatient forensic psychiatric setting. You will work in collaboration with psychiatric attending providers, who maintain primary responsibility for the overall plan of care. You will serve as a medical consultant to the interdisciplinary treatment team, addressing acute and chronic medical conditions, supporting coordinated care, and contributing to integrated, whole-person treatment planning. With robust on‑site medical services, including cardiology with echocardiogram and EEG, podiatry, speech and language pathology, physical and occupational therapy, dentistry, and optometry, OSH ensures comprehensive care and partners with community hospitals for additional specialties. Across our campuses in Salem, Junction City, and Pendleton, the mission of the Oregon State Hospital is to provide therapeutic, evidence-based, patient-centered treatment focusing on recovery and community reintegration - all in a safe environment.

Minimum Qualifications: These qualifications must be reflected in your application for consideration.
Board certification/board eligible in family medicine or internal medicine.
Satisfactory completion of a residency program in family medicine or internal medicine in the United States or Canada.
Physician’s license issued by the Oregon Medical Board.
