You will lead strategic international cooperative development projects and advise senior management on governance, sustainability, and policy initiatives. Additionally, you will represent the organization in negotiations with external partners and oversee complex, multi-sector economic development programs.
The position requires a bachelor's degree in a related field and a minimum of eight years of relevant experience. Candidates must possess strong communication skills in both English and French, along with a strategic mindset and interpersonal savvy.
As a senior international cooperative development advisor, you help establish priorities and initiatives pertaining to international cooperative development, sustainability, and governance and social responsibility rule-making related to the organization’s policies and democratic governance (including administration of the board of directors and its sub-committees). You lead and influence regional economic development projects and complex, highly innovative strategic initiatives involving multiple sectors. You help develop and recommend strategic directions and business positions. Your initiatives require extensive knowledge of your field. You make recommendations on the planning and execution of operationally and conceptually complex projects and initiatives that require comprehensive analysis and understanding of the organization and line of business. Coordination is critical, so you interact with stakeholders working in a wide range of other fields. Interpersonal savvy is therefore essential. You serve as expert advisor and subject matter expert, as well as resource person and coach for senior management and decision-making bodies. More specifically, you will be required to:
