SUMMARY

This position will focus on growth, development and innovation of Produce and CSFP Distributions for the Greater Cleveland Food Bank. This position will expand the impact of current community partners to increase the distribution of nutritious food to more people who need it. Additional focus will be on building new strategic partnerships that can help to serve income-eligible people, including older adults and people with health challenges, across our six-county region. This position will collaborate with the Community Partnerships, Food Sourcing, Operations, and Outreach departments to provide strategic oversight and alignment for Mobile Pantries, Produce Express, Senior Markets, Food as Medicine, and CSFP distributions. This position will leverage new technologies and processes to streamline internal tasks while practicing continuous improvement with our agencies and partners. Accompanying all growth, this position will provide excellent customer service and partner relationship management and will share best practices within the Feeding America Network. This position requires that one work well in a team atmosphere and be committed to a high level of communication both internally and externally. 

Requirements

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. This list is not all-inclusive, and other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for the strategic management, innovation, and growth of Produce Distributions. 
• Collaborate with the Community Health and Research team to identify underserved and saturated areas; expand and develop partnerships with current Food Bank agencies and new community organizations to fill service gaps.
• Partner with Food Sourcing and Operations teams to drive sustainable growth and proactively troubleshoot quality issues.
• Develop and implement training curricula for new produce and CSFP distribution partners and provide ongoing training support for active sites.
• Oversee the utilization of technology and new systems to streamline produce distribution planning, scheduling, and fulfillment.
• Partner with the Nutrition Team to provide community agencies with healthy recipes, food preparation guidance, and educational resources that empower neighbors to make informed choices. 
• Oversee contract administration and compliance for the Commodity Supplemental Food Program (CSFP) and other assigned programs.
• Manage CSFP distributions at the GCFB’s Community Resource Center, ensuring accurate documentation, organized records, and adherence to all audit requirements and timelines.
• Prepare reporting for CSFP as needed.
• Support CSFP distributions at community partners as needed. 
• Oversee order entry, scheduling, and distribution logistics for CSFP and Produce Distribution programs.
• Participate in Feeding America calls, webinars, and networking opportunities to identify and implement best practices in program development and operations.
• Manage product quality feedback, partner communications, and training initiatives related to Produce Distribution and other assigned programs.
• Oversee data collection, performance metrics, and financial reporting compliance for all Produce Distribution programs, ensuring accurate records and timely organizational reporting.
• Participate in Internal Audits of the CSFP and TEFAP contracts to ensure program guidelines are being met through food distribution partners. 
• Enforce strict programmatic compliance across all produce distribution partners, ensuring total alignment with local, state, and Feeding America regulations. 
• Collaborate with the Director of Partnerships and Senior Programs to develop annual budgets and monitor program expenditures.
• Maintain high-level data tracking for all produce and CSFP programs, providing critical metrics to the organization for monthly dashboards. 
• Actively support and champion initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement throughout the organization (e.g., LEAN council, Kaizen, 5S campaigns). 
• Supervise and evaluate the Produce Distribution and Senior Program Coordinator. Other duties as assigned
• Maintain required job knowledge, skills, and core competencies. 
• Attend and participate in required educational programs and staff meetings.
• Actively support and champion initiatives aimed at driving continuous improvement throughout the organization. May participate in one of the following: LEAN council, a kaizen, 5S campaign or other process improvement efforts to support continuous improvement and improved processes within the food bank.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Supervises two staff, the Produce Partnerships Coordinator and the Produce Partnerships & CSFP Coordinator. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of this unit. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing partner feedback and supporting partners in their distribution efforts.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree from a four-year College/University strongly preferred. Three years of management experience in social services/programs, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Supervisory experience required in human services/ non-profit (preferred). Previous database management experience a plus. Must be willing and able to travel for the organization on short notice. Must be able to exercise leadership in various internal and external relationships, including cultivation and networking. Willingness to work beyond normal working hours, when necessary. Must possess outstanding leadership abilities and communication skills to effectively work in an environment of highly diverse people. Must possess strong attention to detail. Proficiency in Windows-based computer software, with an emphasis on spreadsheets, word processing, and database management, is mandatory. ServSafe Certified required. Unencumbered State Driver’s License required. Physical Requirements and Environment

The physical requirements for this position include: Ability to frequently remain in a stationary position. Ability to move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. frequently. Ability to operate a computer or other office productivity machinery constantly. Occasional ability to ascend/descend stairs to access workspaces. Ability to position or move body to access filing cabinets or other work equipment frequently. Ability to constantly exchange accurate information and communicate in person or via telephone with clients, partners, donors, coworkers, and other members of the community. Must be able to frequently view a computer screen. Ability to move office equipment/supplies frequently. Ability to lift 25-50 lbs regularly. Travel is frequently required for this position. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

Salary Range: $58,700 - 65,000 per year, commensurate with experience
