THE ROLE
As a Senior Accountant supporting our Latin America business, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and compliance of financial reporting across a dynamic and fast-paced international environment. This position partners closely with regional finance teams to oversee month-end close activities, reconcile complex financial data, and support corporate reporting while ensuring compliance with US GAAP and SOX requirements.
The ideal candidate is a highly organized, detail-oriented accounting professional who thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment and is flexible to work extended hours or occasional weekends during peak periods, including month-end close.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO
Ensure Latin America financial reporting complies with US GAAP, SOX requirements, and internal accounting policies.
Review and reconcile event P&Ls, show settlements, and other financial reports to ensure completeness and accuracy.
Partner with local finance teams and LATAM accounting teams to support monthly corporate reporting, including balance sheet and income statement reconciliations between third-party systems and corporate financial records.
Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts, researching and resolving discrepancies in a timely manner.
Prepare and post month-end journal entries while supporting the monthly close process and meeting critical reporting deadlines.
Maintain and reconcile complex balance sheet accounts, including monthly IFRS elimination entries and adjustments.
Maintain internal control policies, assist in audits, and liaise with internal auditors.
Assist with quarterly reporting requirements, financial analysis, and special projects as assigned.
Collaborate across international teams to identify process improvements that enhance reporting accuracy and operational efficiency.
Support occasional travel to events as needed and maintain flexibility to work evenings or weekends during month-end close, show settlements, or other business-critical periods.
WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, CPA candidate or CPA strongly preferred, MBA a plus.
3–5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably with a Big 4 public accounting firm; entertainment or live events industry experience is a plus.
Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SOX compliance requirements.
Fluency in Spanish is required; Portuguese language skills are a plus.
Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and producing high-quality work.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate across international teams.
Experience managing projects and meeting tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
Experience with Oracle and/or SAP is preferred.
Willingness to work extended hours and occasional weekends during month-end close, financial reporting cycles, and event settlement periods to meet business needs.
