The Property Manager oversees the overall operations of a 1000-bed student residence hall, including fiscal oversight, facility management, and staff supervision. A Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required, with 5-7 years of experience in student housing or property management. Candidates must have experience supervising full-time staff and the ability to respond to on-campus emergencies within 30 minutes.

Summary:
The primary responsibility of the Student Housing Property Manager is the overall management of the operations of a residence hall community. Areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to, fiscal oversight; rent collection and summer revenue, interpretation and enforcement of license policies; license plans development, implementation, and oversight; facility oversight; summer conference housing, and supervision of employees. The Student Housing Property Manager will work in partnership with the University of Massachusetts Boston, who will be responsible for providing a residence life program for the facility.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervisory Responsibilities
Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise employees in the areas of Maintenance and Operations. Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Work Hours
In addition to a regular work schedule (shadow University offices), this position requires some night and weekend activities. This position is always available by cell phone unless arrangements are made with a supervisor. The Community Manager must live within a predictable 30 minutes of the residential community.

The selected candidate may be eligible for a retention bonus of up to $10,000.00, payable after the successful completion of 12 months of employment, in accordance with company policy and subject to applicable terms and conditions.
