Our expert team handles the high-risk, high-stakes stuff – and we do it with innovation, safety and our customer need as our key purpose. We’re not just in the waste business. We’re in the problem-solving business.
If you’re someone who’s constantly asking, “What’s next”, or “How could this be done better?” and ready to lead the conversation, this is for you!
Our Role
This isn’t your average sales gig.
You’ll be at the intersection of curiosity and commerce - hunting new business opportunities, shaping pricing strategies, and guiding clients through complex hazardous waste challenges
Based in Christchurch, you'll be a key player working closely with internal stakeholders to bring insight, innovation, and impact to the way we grow our entire South Island business.
Job Description

Pre-qualify hazardous waste opportunities and guide customers to the right technical solution
Help create solutions that are smart, sustainable, and surprisingly strategic
Conduct commercial analysis (cost-benefit, customer profitability, lifecycle, etc.) that informs big decisions
Shape pricing models that work for customers and make sense commercially
Hunt & Win
Exceed new business targets - because you love chasing opportunity
Manage a value-based sales cycle from first contact to closed deal
Help customers navigate risk and compliance in tricky waste categories
Respond rapidly and intelligently to urgent customer needs (this is where your curiosity meets calm under pressure)
Ask More, Find More
Identify leads early - even in planning stages
Dig into the why, not just the what - and uncover projects others miss
Build and execute a Territory Plan that reflects where the real value lies
Collaborate with technical, sale and marketing and operations teams to craft solutions and inspire great customer outcomes
Influence & Inspire
Deliver insights that persuade and educate our customers
Bring customer insights back into the business to keep us always improving
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
We’re not just after someone who can sell. We want someone who thinks.
Inherently curious - you ask questions, explore new angles, and never settle for "that’s how it’s always been done" and are always learning
Commercially astute - you know how to connect curiosity to value and of course ‘make a dollar’
A confident hunter - proactive, strategic, and eager to chase opportunity
Comfortable with complexity - from compliance to cost modelling
Tech-enabled - AI, CRM, LinkedIn… these aren’t buzzwords to you
A great communicator - persuasive when needed, but always listening
Must have minimum 2years working with chemicals and/or dangerous goods
Preferred qualifications of an integrated masters in chemistry
