Opportunity:
Vault is seeking an experienced, proactive, and people-focused Human Resources Generalist to join our team on a temporary 12-month contract. This hands-on role is ideal for a well-rounded HR professional who enjoys both strategic people initiatives and day-to-day HR operations. The successful candidate will support recruitment, employee engagement, pulse surveys, HR reporting, performance evaluation processes, HRIS administration, employee data management, and full-cycle payroll processing. This opportunity is well-suited for someone with sound judgment, strong communication skills, a high level of discretion, and the ability to build trusted relationships with employees, managers, and leadership. The role is ideal for a dependable, detail-oriented individual who can step in quickly, take initiative, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and support a positive, productive, and engaged workplace culture throughout the contract term.
Vault supports a flexible hybrid work environment with a mix of in-person collaboration and remote work. Emphasis is placed on producing high-quality work and meeting deadlines, not necessarily where or when hours are worked.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
Lead full-cycle recruitment, including job postings, candidate screening, interview coordination, reference checks, and offer support to the job owner.

Support leadership and managers in creating action plans based on employee feedback.
Use BambooHR to support onboarding, offboarding, time-off tracking, employee changes, reporting, and performance management processes.
Maintain confidentiality and accuracy in all employee, payroll, and HR records.
Complete and submit payroll accurately and on schedule.
Assist the Executive Assistant with team event planning.
Skills and Qualifications:
10-15 years of progressive Human Resources experience, preferably in a senior HR generalist, HR manager, or people operations role.
Post-secondary education in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Demonstrated experience in recruitment, employee engagement, HR operations, payroll, reporting, and performance management.
Experience working with Mercer for benchmarking.
Oil and gas experience is considered an asset.
Strong reporting and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret HR data and provide meaningful insights.
Understanding of payroll legislation, employment standards, statutory deductions, taxable benefits, vacation pay, overtime, and payroll remittances.
Experience using BambooHR or a similar HRIS platform.
Experience working in a small to mid-sized organization is an asset, particularly in a hands-on HR role.
Key Competencies:
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with an emphasis on attention to detail
Highly motivated, results-oriented, and deadline-driven with the ability to work well independently
Excellent work ethic, with the ability to multitask and manage competing and changing priorities while maintaining a high standard of work
Proactive, solutions-focused, and comfortable working independently.
Effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills
High level of professionalism, discretion, and confidentiality.
Vault is an equal opportunity employer, diversity and inclusion are important to us. We are committed to providing employment opportunities to all qualified individuals. Final candidates for this position may be required to undergo a security screening, including a criminal records check.
Only those individuals selected for an interview will be contacted.

Vault 44.01 is a highly experienced CCS project development team with unmatched expertise in non-EOR storage of CO₂. Our goal is to enable cost-effective, wholesale decarbonization of industrial emitters across North America through CCS.
CCS is a proven, highly scalable decarbonization technology that provides a path to deep emissions reductions from large, stationary industrial emitters. CCS on high purity sources is commercially viable today, and is rapidly emerging on both lower purity sources and with Direct Air Capture.
