The specialist ensures environmental compliance obligations are met through the implementation of programs, technologies, and governance. Key duties include serving as an expert user for the Enablon system and providing training and support across GPC facilities.
Requires a bachelor's degree in a science-related field and 3 to 5 years of experience in environmental compliance or power generation operations. Candidates must possess a valid driver's license and the ability to maintain certifications such as RCRA and HAZWOPER.
The Environmental Field Specialist will serve as a support resource for Georgia Power to ensure we’re meeting our compliance obligations today and preparing for our needs of the future.
This position will focus on our environmental compliance programs and will support overall governance and be responsible for communications, implementation of programs and technologies (Enablon), training, mitigations, guidance, and other functions as needed.
