The Foreman is responsible for supervising daily open cut construction activities and operating heavy equipment to ensure projects meet safety and production standards. They serve as the primary field contact for crew management, project documentation, and coordination with stakeholders.
Candidates must have at least five years of experience in underground utility or open cut construction, including proficiency in operating track hoes and excavators. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, along with strong knowledge of excavation safety and the ability to interpret project plans.
This hands-on leadership position is responsible for supervising and coordinating daily open cut construction activities while actively operating heavy equipment in support of the crew. The Foreman ensures projects are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications, schedules, and company standards. The position serves as the primary field contact for project communication, production tracking, crew management, and jobsite coordination.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb, operate heavy equipment, and perform physical labor in outdoor environments. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and work around excavation sites, underground utilities, traffic, and active construction operations.
