Position: Adjunct Assistant Professor, Construction Management
Department: Academic Affairs

Opportunity for hybrid schedule: No
Starting Salary Range: AJCR $1,262-$1,404 per credit hour and in accordance with the adjunct table and determined based on relevant years of work experience provided on application and resume.
Position Summary: Johnson County Community College (JCCC) is looking for an Adjunct Assistant Professor, Construction Management. We seek two distinct qualification sets, either for teaching core construction management courses, or OSHA 30 for general industry and OSHA 30 for construction. Candidates will be reviewed based upon department need in each area.
Required Qualifications:
For teaching core Construction Management courses, the following are minimum requirements:
Associate's degree with 5 years work experience in the field being taught OR
Bachelor's degree with 3 years work experience in the field being taught.
For teaching industrial/construction safety, candidates MUST have current OSHA authorization for teaching OSHA 30 for either general industry, or construction, or the ability to renew authorization prior to the first day of classes taught.
Preferred Qualifications:
For teaching core construction management courses, we prefer the following:
Prior experience in teaching at the College level in Construction Management.
Bachelor's degree in Construction Science, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or closely-related field.
Experience with building information modeling software (BIM).
Experience with project management software such as MS Project.
Direct experience in Construction Management, covering all phases from RFP/bidding to execution of completed projects.
Experience in one or more construction-related trades (carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electric, etc.).
For teaching OSHA 30, we prefer prior college teaching experience.
