Purpose/Scope:
Develop accurate, on-time estimates for prospective and listed projects. Review and coordinate preconstruction activities, based on each project’s scope of work.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Interpret architectural and structural drawings/specs for the purpose of developing project cost.
Coordinate vendors & third-party resources as required for project development.
Clarify and coordinate information with Sales, Engineering, Production, Field & Project Management.
Perform detailed quantity take-off for project estimation.
Review and adjust for cost changes throughout the life cycle of a project.
Undertake training on estimating systems, as well as the overall function and purpose of the company.
Attend meetings as required.
Special projects assigned by management.
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of two (2) year degree in Drafting/Estimating, Project/Construction management, or Architecture
Other Required Qualifications:
Working knowledge and ability to interpret architectural/structural drawings and specifications.
High scanning accuracy and high mathematical aptitude
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Expert in Excel
Willingness and ability to quickly learn new procedures
Well organized and detail orientated
Able to maintain focus on a given task
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to work with others in a collaborative manner
Demonstrate dedication to safety, customer satisfaction, quality and efficiency
Exhibit the ability and ambition for upward mobility in the organization
Preferred Qualifications:
