The Cement Process Engineer will evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes, equipment performance, and production systems to enhance safety and efficiency. They will lead cross-functional audit teams, perform benchmarking, and implement continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and possess at least 2 years of relevant industrial experience. Experience with rotary kiln manufacturing and cement processing is highly preferred.
This position works out of GCC's Pueblo, CO plant.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on, self-motivated Chemical or Mechanical Engineer with experience in cement manufacturing or other heavy industrial process operations. They excel at analyzing manufacturing processes, optimizing equipment performance, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives that enhance safety, efficiency, reliability, and production. This individual combines strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to lead cross-functional teams, communicate effectively, and drive results in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Experience with rotary kiln processes, benchmarking, and process optimization is highly preferred.
What you will do:
Evaluate manufacturing processes and make recommendations for improvements to optimize performance. Work as a member and leader of various audit teams to ensure the most effective results are produced by the group. Perform on-going research and evaluation of equipment, processes, and techniques used externally in the cement industry and in other industries for purposes of determining performance benchmarks and best practices.
