Through expanded learning programs, Arc provides academic support, enrichment activities, leadership development, recreation, and youth development opportunities for students throughout Southern California.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Inclusion Aide supports students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs within Arc's expanded learning programs. Working closely with Site Coordinators and Program Leaders, the Inclusion Aide helps ensure students are fully included in program activities and receive the support necessary to participate successfully in a safe, engaging, and welcoming environment.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Support students in participating successfully in daily program activities.
Provide individualized support and encouragement to students as needed.
Assist students with homework completion and supplemental learning activities.
Promote positive student behavior and engagement using age-appropriate support strategies.
Support student safety through active supervision and line-of-sight monitoring.
Assist with attendance tracking, student transitions, and parent/guardian release procedures.
Collaborate with program staff, school personnel, and families to support student success.
Participate in recreational, enrichment, leadership, arts, STEM, and physical activities.
Follow all Arc policies, safety procedures, and mandated reporting requirements.
When assigned, trained, and authorized, provide respectful assistance with a student’s individualized health, hygiene, or toileting support needs, following the student’s approved plan and applicable school, district, and Arc policies.

QualificationsMINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Experience working with youth in educational, recreational, after-school, or related settings.
Ability to work effectively with students from diverse backgrounds and experiences.
Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality.
Completion of 48 college units or passing score on an approved academic proficiency examination.
Ability to pass Live Scan background clearance.
Negative TB test result.
Current CPR and First Aid certification (adult, child, and infant).
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience supporting students with diverse learning, behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental needs.
Familiarity with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles and positive behavior support strategies.
Experience in child development, education, psychology, special education, social work, or related fields.
Bilingual English-Spanish proficiency.
SCHEDULE
Part-time positions generally work during before-school, after-school, and expanded learning program hours. Additional hours may be available during school breaks, intersession programs, training events, or special activities.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to actively supervise students in indoor and outdoor environments, including standing, walking, participating in recreational activities, and responding to emergency situations. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds.
