The Occupational Therapist evaluates patients to develop and implement effective treatment plans to produce optimal outcomes. Responsibilities include documenting services, supervising OT assistants, and serving as a clinical instructor for students.
Requires a Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy and a current Florida Occupational Therapy license with BLS certification. Less than one year of clinical experience is required, though hospital-based rehab and splinting experience are preferred.

The Occupational Therapist examines and evaluates patients, developing effective treatment plans appropriate for the
patient condition. The Occupational Therapist measures patient progress, modifies treatment plans and educates the
patient to produce optimal outcomes.

NECESSARY SKILLS:
1. Knowledge of Occupational Therapy theory, procedures, practices and equipment.
2. Good communication skills. Proactive, positive approach to problem solving.
3. Thorough knowledge of possible hazards/necessary precautions/remedial measures in the
treatment and care of patients.
4. Ability to assess and implement a treatment programs for simple and complex therapy diagnoses.
5. Computer skills in Microsoft Office suite.
