The Assistant Chaplain provides social, emotional, and spiritual support to residents, families, and staff within a senior care environment. Key duties include conducting spiritual assessments, facilitating relationships with faith groups, and supporting palliative care.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in theology or spiritual studies and have completed one unit of Clinical Pastoral Education (CPE). Experience in a senior care setting and strong interpersonal skills are highly valued.

The Assistant Chaplain supports the physical, social and emotional needs of the residents, in accordance with Wing Kei’s resident centered approach, relevant government standards, and residents’ rights.

Wing Kei Care Centres is a non-profit continuing care centre specializing in culturally responsive care for seniors in Calgary, Alberta. Our mission is to provide extended care services and facilities to meet the physical, spiritual, social and emotional needs of seniors in a Christian environment. Over three hundred seniors across three facilities are calling Wing Kei their home, where they receive culturally appropriate care - speaking the mother tongue, enjoying familiar foods they grew up with. Wing Kei Care Centres is fully integrated with the Alberta Health Services' continuing care program, providing long-term care, supportive living and adult day program services to all seniors in need.
