JOB SUMMARY: Transport, safely and expediently, students to and from home, between schools, and on district-sponsored trips. Monitor students at designated stops to ensure safe passage on and off the bus.When not actively operating a school bus or performing transportation-related duties, employees in this position may be assigned to assist with administrative or clerical tasks as needed or directed by the department supervisor.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. They do not encompass a comprehensive inventory of the obligations and responsibilities fulfilled in this role. Colorado driver’s license
Commercial driver's license (CDL) Class B with both a "P" (passenger) and "S" (school bus) endorsement
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and First Aid certification
Must be at least 21 years of age
Must meet insurability requirements of the Colorado School District Self-Insurance Pool
Must pass Colorado Bureau of Investigation, Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Colorado Department of Education screenings
Must have a clear/clean Colorado Department of Motor Vehicle record within the past three (3) years
We cannot consider any application for bus drivers until we have an original of your Motor Vehicle Record dated within the past 30 days. We cannot consider any applicant whose license has been suspended/revoked within the past three years or who has had a probationary license for less than three years. We cannot consider any applicant who has been convicted of DUI or DWAI within the past three years.
