Job Summary:
The Department of Emergency Medicine and the Airways, Trauma, Lung Injury and Sepsis (ATLAS) Lab Research Program seeks motivated applicants for the position of Research Services Clinical Sciences Intermediate or Senior Professional for day shifts (between the hours of 7a-5p) during weekdays and weekends.A minimum of one weekend day shift is required for this posting. The research projects focus on critically ill and injured patients in the Emergency Department and Intensive Care Units, including trauma and medical patients. This position is responsible for both observational and interventional clinical trial study coordinator duties within the ATLAS lab for single-center and multicenter trials, including screening, consenting, enrolling, and other duties as described below. The Principal Investigator is Adit Ginde, MD, MPH, Professor and Vice Chair for Research, Department of Emergency Medicine.

Schedulesubjectparticipationinresearchclinicaltrial,coordinatingavailabilityofnecessaryspace, and clinical research support (e.g., physician, nurse practitioner, laboratory, radiology, pharmacy)
Maintain detailed records ofstudies to ensure compliance with requirements of the Food and Drug Administration(FDA),studyprotocols,department,hospital/clinicalstandardoperatingprocedures and other regulatory guidelines
Participateinsubjectrecruitmentefforts,includingcommunicatingwithpatientsexpressingan interest and all pre-screening/screening activities
Independently master study materials, including but not limited to protocols, informed consent forms, and all other essential study documents for assigned studies
Independently perform study related processes, procedures, and assessments as defined in study protocol and in compliance with regulating bodies
Assist Team Leads, Supervisors and/or management with creation and implementation of processes and procedures and quality improvement initiatives
Senior Professional:
Develops or assists with developing protocol-specific systems and documents including process flows, training manuals, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Case Report Forms (CRFs). Maintains subject level documentation and prepares documents, equipment and/or supplies
Assist with identifying issues related to operational efficiency and shares results with leadership
Collect information to determine feasibility, recruitment and retention strategies. Employ, evaluate and assist with the implementation of innovative solutions to maximize recruitment and retention
Serve as a resource and participate in study initiation and close out duties
