The Patient Advocate Representative is responsible for screening self-pay patients for government and non-governmental program eligibility at hospital bedsides. They also conduct field visits, maintain accurate account documentation, and coordinate with hospital staff to ensure financial clearance.
Candidates must have a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of work experience in social services, hospital admitting, or a related field. Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs and strong communication skills are required to manage multiple tasks and interact effectively with patients.

JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for screening self-pay patients at hospital bedside for eligibility in various governmental and non-governmental programs. Responsible for identifying all sources of potential payors including auto insurance, Workers' Compensation, commercial insurance, private insurance, TPL, etc. to route account appropriately in the Patient Accounting environment. Also responsible for obtaining and completing the Confidential Financial Statement form and assisting patients in the process of applying for any benefits for which they may be eligible.
