Oversee daily operations of the Self-Help Center to assist self-represented litigants with legal and procedural information. Supervise staff and collaborate with court administration to improve efficiency and access to justice.
Requires a law degree and a current Minnesota Bar admission. Candidates must have three to five years of experience in a legal setting and three to five years of supervisory experience.
The Second Judicial District is currently accepting applications for a Self-Help Center Supervisor.
The Self-Help Center (SHC) Supervisor will work in the Self-Help Center (SHC) located in Ramsey County’s City Hall Building, with some remote work available. The SHC helps Self-Represented Litigants (SRLs) by providing a variety of legal and procedural information related to court policies, procedures, processes, and forms, without providing legal advice regarding legal issues that can be addressed in District Court. This position will supervise other SHC staff and reports to the District’s Juvenile / Family Division Administrator.

Working Conditions
Work is performed primarily in an office setting, at a public counter or remote location. Work involves contact with persons who may be angry and confused.
Physical Demands
Work is essentially sedentary with occasional walking, standing, bending, and carrying items up to 25 pounds. Some assignments may require periods of extended sitting, standing, or computer use. May require standing on a ladder to retrieve files from high shelves, moving records and exhibits up and down stairs.
