Position Introduction: The Office of Admissions & Recruitment (OAR) makes connections and creates experiences with the next generation of Sooners by supporting domestic and international freshman, transfer, and concurrent students throughout the application and decision process. Our team operates from Norman and across the state, nation, and world, partnering with faculty, staff, parents, counselors, and communities to provide guidance and resources to prospective students. Our goal is to build a vibrant OU community by recruiting the most academically qualified students with a variety of educational, service, involvement, and community experiences. We seek individuals who exhibit integrity, care, intentionality, and innovation. Scope of Position/Essential Duties: Responsible for identifying, attracting, and enrolling prospective students through a variety of recruitment and outreach efforts. This role serves as a key representative of the institution, building relationships with students, families, high school counselors, and community partners. Guides students through the admissions process, reviews applications, conducts interviews, and collaborates with the admissions team to make informed admission decisions. The role involves planning and participating in recruitment events, maintaining accurate records, and supporting college readiness initiatives within an assigned geographic region through targeted outreach, relationship building, and event participation.

The Center for English as a Second Language (CESL) at the University of Oklahoma (OU) offers in-person English language courses for international students on the Norman campus of the University of Oklahoma, and off-site courses for businesses providing English-language courses for their employees. Our location on campus provides students with access to all University of Oklahoma resources including housing, dining, transportation, libraries, medical facilities, and more.
