The Medical Assistant supports urgent care providers by managing patient check-in, recording vital signs, and performing clinical tasks such as blood draws and point-of-care testing. They are also responsible for maintaining exam rooms, managing medical records, and ensuring efficient patient flow.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and a recognized medical assistant certification or equivalent clinical qualification. Proficiency in basic computer skills and current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification are required.

Why You’ll Love This Role
The Medical Assistant assists in examination and treatment of patients under the direction of an urgent care provider. Manages the check-in and registration process, interview patients, measures vital signs (i.e., pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height), and records information on patients' charts. Draws and collects blood samples from patients and prepares specimens for laboratory analysis. Prepares treatment rooms for examination of patients.
Required Licenses/Certifications
Additionally, CPOE certification for order entry is required within two weeks of the start date.
In lieu of an approved MA Certification, we will also accept the following certifications at the time of hire:
