The General Foreman supports the Superintendent by overseeing all field construction activities, managing budgets, schedules, and on-site crew performance. They are responsible for coordinating manpower and materials while maintaining subcontractor relationships to ensure project profitability.
Candidates must hold Journeyman status with a Red Seal and have over 3 years of experience in construction management. Knowledge of fire-rating systems and a willingness to work night shifts are required, while NCSO certification is considered an asset.

As our General Foreman, you’ll act as the right hand to our Superintendent, overseeing all field and site-specific construction activities. You’ll manage the budget, schedule, performance, and profitability of commercial construction projects while leading and inspiring the Chandos crew on-site. Effective communication is essential as you collaborate closely with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and other field staff.
You will also run your own smaller-scale jobs, giving you ownership, autonomy, and hands-on experience. As part of our long-term talent development approach, you will receive structured training and mentorship from our Construction Management team, preparing you to grow into a Superintendent role in the coming years.
