This position pays an hourly rate of $11.38 - $14.23/hour based on experience.
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MAINTENACE CUSTODIAN
As a Maintenance Custodian at our Glenwood YMCA location, you are responsible to provide safe, clean, attractive and well-maintained facilities, vehicles and grounds, including preventative maintenance, and compliance with government agencies. You will work in a collaborative manner with the Executive Director to ensure facilities and project management standards and procedures are understood and fully accomplished.
You are the eyes and ears of the property, providing security and safety to YMCA guests. With enthusiasm, you complete the general upkeep and maintenance of the entire property as assigned by the Executive Director. These maintenance tasks include but are not limited to: heating, electrical, plumbing, and pool upkeep. You assist staff to complete grounds keeping and special projects. You are also conscientious about keeping training and records up to date and accurate and ensuring compliance with YMCA standards and government regulations. As someone who loves your job, you happily promote the YMCA of Greater Erie.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A MAINTENANCE & CUSTODIAN
