Job DetailsLevel: ExperiencedJob Location: Main Campus - McKeesport, PA 15132Position Type: Full TimeEducation Level: 4 Year DegreeSalary Range: $63,000.00 SalaryTravel Percentage: NoneJob Shift: DayJob Category: Human ResourcesAuberle strengthens thousands of individuals and families each year, helping to build strong communities. Auberle has evolved into a premier multi-service agency with programs spanning Workforce Development, Housing, Foster Care, Young Adult Services, and Behavioral Health. Auberle's mission is to help build strong individuals, families, and communities.
In 2019, Ward Home joined the Auberle family and has three programs in our Young Adult Services Department.
Position Title and Overview: Human Resources Generalist (Full-Time)
Auberle's Human Resources team supports roughly 250 employees. This role reports to the Human Resources Manager and covers the full generalist scope, with a primary focus on recruiting and onboarding.
We're looking for someone ready to build a structured recruiting function in partnership with the organization: developing sourcing strategies, coaching managers on hiring best practices, and identifying ways to use our Human Resource Information System (Paycom) to streamline information flow and transparency across the recruiting and onboarding process. You would own recruiting and onboarding end to end, including leading the agency’s group orientation events, while supporting the broader HR team with day-to-day generalist work under the direction of the HR Manager. Generalist work spans compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, occupational health and safety; and training and development.
The right person for this role is energized by a quality customer service approach and welcomes a seat at the table with leadership to tackle workforce challenges. You are drawn to solving hard-to-fill recruiting puzzles and finding ways to automate manual work in our HRIS. If you are looking for a role where your work shapes the meaningful contribution Human Resources makes to the organization, this is it.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. For priority consideration, apply by August 3, 2026. This position will remain open until filled.
Location and Travel Requirements
This position is primarily located in McKeesport. Occasional travel to other sites or external events (job fairs, networking, meetings) is required.
All positions are also expected to attend training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled.
QualificationsPosition Requirements
• Act 33/34 and FBI clearances required.
• Valid PA driver's license, vehicle, registration, and proof of insurance.
• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and progressive HR experience).
• 5+ years of progressive human resources experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a generalist, specialist, or business partner capacity.
• Strong working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, ACA, FLSA, ERISA, etc.)
• Experience with HRIS platforms; proficiency in data entry, reporting, and system navigation. Paycom experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams).
• Experience developing or executing recruiting strategies, including sourcing, candidate pipeline development, or employer branding.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to draft professional correspondence, coach managers, and present information clearly to audiences at all levels.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
• SHRM-CP/SCP, PHR, or SPHR certification preferred.
• Reliability and punctuality; this role requires consistent on-site presence.
Great Benefits
• Medical, dental, and vision insurance
• Generous paid time off, plus 11 paid holidays
• Retirement savings plan and company match
• Tuition reimbursement and loan repayment assistance
• Professional development and training opportunities
• A commitment to work-life balance
