Full job description
A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A MARKETING MANAGER AT AXIOM You start your day at Axiom with a sense of ownership over something important: the brand itself. As the office comes to life, you're already scanning the landscape, checking social channels, reviewing engagement, and seeing where Axiom's voice showed up in the world overnight. Marketing here is a team of one, but you are far from alone. Your role sits at the intersection of sales, leadership, project managers, designers, inside partners, and outside partners, and your job is to turn everything happening across Axiom into a compelling story.
By mid-morning, you're on-site with a camera in hand. Photography is a core part of your role. You capture projects from concept to completion, progress photos, behind-the-scenes moments, time-lapse footage, finished installations, employee spotlights, and event coverage. You understand composition, lighting, and visual storytelling, and you know how to create imagery that elevates both the craftsmanship and the people behind it. Whether shooting still photography or short-form video, you create content that becomes the foundation for Axiom's website, social media, sales materials, award submissions, PR features, and future marketing campaigns.
Just as important as capturing great work is preserving it. You maintain and organize Axiom's growing library of photography, video, and project documentation, ensuring assets are properly cataloged, tagged, archived, and easy for the team to access. You know that today's project photos become tomorrow's case studies, presentations, and portfolio pieces, and you take pride in maintaining a visual archive that tells the evolving story of Axiom.
Back at your desk, you shift into editorial mode. You're thinking months ahead, mapping out the annual marketing calendar and identifying which projects, partnerships, milestones, and employees deserve the spotlight. Maybe you're coordinating with a PR partner about a potential media feature, connecting with a local organization about a collaboration opportunity, or aligning messaging with a client to ensure the story being told reflects everyone involved. Every decision helps position Axiom's work where it belongs: in front of the right audience.
In the afternoon, storytelling becomes more strategic. You collaborate with the sales team, transforming photography, project details, and archival assets into polished presentations that clearly show who Axiom is and what the company can achieve. You review the website, keeping the portfolio current with fresh photography, compelling project stories, and recent work. You're always asking the same question: how can we better show the world what makes this work remarkable?
Social media is another stage for that story. Throughout the day, you're shaping Axiom's voice across platforms like Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and YouTube. Sometimes that means planning campaigns, editing photography and video, or reviewing analytics to understand what resonates. Other times you're working alongside the Design Studio to create striking visual assets that stop people mid-scroll. You're not just posting content, you’re building a recognizable brand, growing an engaged audience, and expanding Axiom's reach.
But just as important as sharing the story externally is strengthening the culture internally. You're connecting departments, encouraging collaboration, recognizing team accomplishments, and helping everyone understand how their work contributes to the bigger picture. Whether it's organizing a team event or t-shirt design contest, documenting company culture through photography, sharing industry insights, or simply keeping people aligned around the brand's direction, you help create the environment where great work thrives.
And because culture doesn't stop at the office doors, you're always looking outward too. You identify opportunities for Axiom to show up in the broader creative community through events (Design Week!), partnerships, speaking opportunities, and collaborations that amplify the brand's voice and connect it with new audiences. Your relationships with writers, bloggers, influencers, photographers, and industry partners help keep Axiom part of the conversation.
At the end of the day, you've done more than manage marketing. You've captured the work, preserved its history, organized the company's visual archive, shaped the narrative, connected people, and pushed the brand forward. It's fast-paced, collaborative, and creative, and it's deeply satisfying to know that the stories you tell and the visual legacy you build are helping define where Axiom goes next. And tomorrow, you'll do it again, with a camera, a strategy, and Axiom’s story waiting to be told.
WHAT YOU BRING We're looking for someone who is equal parts marketer, storyteller, photographer, and brand builder. Ideally, you bring:
5+ years of experience in marketing, brand management, communications, or a related creative role
Professional photography experience with a strong portfolio showcasing architecture, interiors, fabrication, construction, hospitality, events, or commercial work
Experience capturing and editing both photography and short-form video for digital marketing
Experience organizing and maintaining digital asset libraries, photography archives, and project documentation using consistent file structures and metadata
Strong visual storytelling instincts and an eye for composition, lighting, and detail
Experience managing websites, social media platforms, email marketing, and content calendars
Excellent writing and editing skills across multiple formats
Experience collaborating with sales, creative, and leadership teams
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud (especially Lightroom, Photoshop, and InDesign)
A self-starter who is comfortable owning the entire marketing function while collaborating across departments
Curiosity, creativity, and the ability to find compelling stories in the everyday work of making exceptional spaces
Note: photography and archival stewardship are not secondary duties, they're essential responsibilities and key qualifications for this position. These are non-negotiables.
THE RETURN When it comes to our team, we believe great people deserve great rewards. That’s why we offer competitive pay, a fun and engaging work environment, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support you both at work and at home. Our benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage for employees, with optional plans available for dependents. We also provide 401(k) and Roth retirement options to help you plan for the future. And here’s something our team really loves: after your first year, you’ll earn 20 days of PTO. Yes, you read that right! When combined with paid holidays, our time-off package is aimed at giving you the flexibility to rest, recharge, and enjoy life outside of work.
Salary range: $80k - $90k.
Please note: both Office + Studio are dog friendly.
NEXT STEPS Check out our website and Instagram. Talk to our friends about us. We seek ambitious people who want to be along for the ride! Yes, we work hard and sometimes we work fast, but the work inspires us to maintain a culture where our people take pride in their work and have fun doing it. We find our people work harder when work doesn’t feel so much like, work. If you share our mindset, we should chat. Share a bit about your story informally under “cover letter.”
