Today, operating from our offices in Preston, we help over 1000 people every month to confidently release cash from their homes, significantly growing year on year to become one of the largest lifetime mortgage lenders in the UK.
We have an exciting opportunity for a Mortgage Underwriter to join the team here at Key Group. Situated in our Loan Manufacturing department, our underwriting team are responsible for underwriting property valuations and new applications to offer stage.
Main Duties and Role Responsibilities:
To be responsible for the management of your caseload
To liaise with solicitors, valuers, brokers and customers to secure documentation required to make responsible lending decisions.
To keep fully up to date and conversant with lending criteria, products and special schemes
To develop and maintain business relationships with key partners
To underwrite new business in line with more2life policies
Skills we look for:
Experience of working within the Financial Services industry and in particular in the secured residential lending arena.
Possess a working knowledge of mortgage underwriting and lending criteria
Organised and with good attention to detail
Commitment to maintain accuracy and attention to detail, ensuring work is of the highest quality.
First class communication skills, both written and verbal.
