The Laboratory Technician is responsible for preparing blood components through various laboratory processes and ensuring product quality. They must also maintain accurate data records and documentation while adhering to safety and quarantine procedures.
The position requires a high school diploma or GED and the ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods and lifting up to 50 lbs. No prior experience is required, but candidates must possess strong attention to detail and basic computer skills.

Vitalant is seeking a Laboratory Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Laboratory Technician is vital. Support Vitalant's life-saving mission by operating within the laboratory handling responsibilities that include component production, labeling, record reviewing and data entry.
High School graduate or GED required.
No experience required.
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, and lift up to 50 lbs.
Must be detail oriented and possess strong communication, organization, and analytical skills.
Must be able to maintain donor, patient and employee confidentiality.
Must possess basic keyboarding skills and the ability to handle and operate laboratory equipment.
Must be able to work flexible shifts and overtime when necessary.
