Responsibilities
The Account Manager will manage and retain a portfolio of healthcare accounts while growing transport volume across Greater Boston and MetroWest. They are responsible for visiting facilities regularly to build relationships with leadership and resolving any service concerns.
Requirements
Candidates must have at least three years of experience in healthcare sales or account management and possess a valid driver's license. Proficiency in CRM software and Excel is required, along with the ability to meet facility vendor credentialing standards.
Full job description
Coastal Medical Transportation Systems is a private EMS and medical transportation provider serving Massachusetts, New Hampshire, and Rhode Island. We are hiring an Account Manager to own our healthcare relationships across the Metro market.
The role
You will own a portfolio of healthcare accounts across Greater Boston and MetroWest — skilled nursing facilities, hospitals, and post-acute providers. The work is keeping those relationships strong, growing the volume we handle for them, and bringing on new accounts. This is a field role. Most days you are out visiting facilities, not sitting at a desk.
What you will do
Manage and retain a portfolio of healthcare accounts in the Metro market.
Visit assigned facilities on a regular schedule and build working relationships with administrators, case management, and discharge planning.
Grow transport volume within assigned accounts across our service lines.
Bring on new accounts across Greater Boston and MetroWest.
Be the first call when a customer has a service concern, and stay with it until it is resolved.
Keep assigned accounts and pipeline current in the CRM.
What we are looking for
Three or more years in healthcare sales or account management, with a track record of keeping and growing accounts.
Comfortable working from data — CRM, Excel, and reporting dashboards.
A strong communicator who can hold a room with facility leadership.
Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel daily within the territory.
Able to meet healthcare facility vendor credentialing requirements, including background check and immunization records.
Helpful, but not required
Background in EMS, ambulance, post-acute care, or healthcare logistics.
Existing relationships with Greater Boston or MetroWest healthcare facilities.
Familiarity with discharge planning and case management workflows.
The pay range for this position is $80,000 to $110,000 based on experience. This position is eligible for a performance-based incentive plan.
