The Safety Officer provides security, safety, and fire safety functions throughout the institute, including conducting patrols and responding to emergencies. Responsibilities include managing combative patients using physical restraint and investigating security incidents.
Candidates must have a high school diploma and preferably one year of experience in safety or healthcare security. Required certifications include Act 235, CPR/BLS, and passing the UPMC Physical Fitness Standard.
