Definition:
The Re-Entry Case Manager is responsible for providing employment, housing coordination, life skills education, Recovery Oriented Cognitive Therapy classes, and community service opportunities in Renewal, Inc.’s Re-entry services department. This individual will work to develop and maintain a network of local housing and employment opportunities to aid in their clients housing placement or obtaining employment, provide classroom education to clients on various topics related to housing and employment, and will collaborate with Renewal, Inc.’s case management team in service coordination for clients. The Re-Entry Case Manager will provide Recovery-Oriented Cognitive Therapy to incarcerated individuals in the Allegheny County Jail and in various locations in the community. This individual will facilitate life skills education classes in both soft skills and practical workplace skills, using a cognitive-behavioral framework, and evidence-based practices in compliance with referral sources and professional standards of the PA Dept. of Education, NIC, DOC, and BOP. The Re-Entry Case Manager will serve as a coordinator for the Mentoring program, recruiting and working closely with community volunteers providing mentoring services to re-entry clients. This individual will also complete IFB referral paperwork and distribute to appropriate parties.

Education and/or Experience:
Individual must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be able to work as a team member as well as independently. Individual must possess a high level of personal ethical standards and pride in accomplishment. Demonstrated ability to organize and supervise, work effectively and efficiently will all levels of management Must be a self-starter, motivated and must be able to adapt to changing technology; Proven skills in problem solving as well as research and computer skills necessary. Must be comfortable working in a correctional environment.
Associate Degree in Business Administration, Social Service or related Liberal Arts field required. Bachelor’s Degree preferred. A minimum of two years’ related experience required. Valid driver’s license and current Act 33/34 clearance required.
