The Medical Laboratory Scientist is responsible for specimen processing, performing waived and non-waived tests, and reporting results accurately. They must also adhere to quality control policies, document all activities, and maintain laboratory equipment according to established protocols.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Sciences, Medical Technology, or Laboratory Sciences. Additionally, 1-2 years of laboratory experience is required, and ASCP certification is preferred.
