Exercise full A1 and A2 audio responsibilities, independently managing all aspects of audio setup, operation, and quality control; serve as the sole audio authority on productions as needed.
Apply advanced technical knowledge to configure, test, and troubleshoot microphones, wireless audio systems, IFB, production comms, playback systems, and program audio, resolving issues independently under time-sensitive conditions.
Design and manage audio workflows for complex hybrid production environments including in-studio and remote guests, Zoom/Teams integration, and mix-minus configurations, making independent routing and signal-flow decisions.
Exercise specialized expertise in Dante audio networking, independently configuring Dante Controller routing, diagnosing network-level audio issues, and implementing solutions without escalation.
Apply expert knowledge of Yamaha-based Dante audio platforms to independently configure and optimize digital audio routing for each production.
Provide specialized AV production expertise across camera operation, broadcast switching, lighting, and studio cabling, applying independent professional judgment to meet the technical requirements of each production.
Lead technical execution of executive recordings, interviews, panels, broadcasts, and partner-team productions, making independent decisions on technical approach and quality standards.
Assess production requirements in advance of each session and independently determine the technical configuration, equipment needs, and operational plan required to meet production objectives.
Serve as a senior technical resource and collaborative partner to studio engineers, contributing specialized expertise and professional judgment to joint production decisions.
Represent ASG and the studio with professionalism and executive presence when working alongside C-suite leadership and senior stakeholders.
Qualifications:
Strong understanding of professional audio signal flow.
Experience supporting live, recorded, broadcast, corporate, studio, or event production environments.
Experience with A1 and/or A2 audio responsibilities.
Experience setting up and troubleshooting microphones, wireless audio, IFB, comms, and program audio.
Strong understanding of Dante audio networking, including Dante Controller, routing, patching, and basic troubleshooting.
Familiarity with Yamaha-based digital audio workflows.
Ability to troubleshoot audio issues quickly in live or time-sensitive environments.
Comfortable working as part of a small crew with flexible, shifting responsibilities.
Strong communication skills and professional presence in executive-facing environments.
Preferred: Experience with Zoom/Teams audio workflows, remote guests, mix-minus, and hybrid meeting production.
Preferred: Experience with Clear-Com or similar production comms systems.
Preferred: Familiarity with Blackmagic cameras, Blackmagic ATEM switchers, RED cameras, or TriCaster switchers.
Preferred: Experience with live streaming workflows.
Preferred: Studio lighting and DMX lighting control experience.
Preferred: Basic production networking knowledge.
Preferred: Post-production or editing experience.
Competencies:
Advanced, expert-level audio production knowledge with the ability to independently design, execute, and troubleshoot complex A1 and A2 workflows across a wide range of live, recorded, and hybrid production formats.
Demonstrated ability to exercise independent professional judgment and discretion in high-stakes, time-sensitive production environments with minimal supervision.
Deep specialized expertise in Dante audio networking and Yamaha-based digital audio platforms, with the ability to independently diagnose and resolve complex signal-flow and routing issues.
Broad technical proficiency across AV production disciplines — including camera, broadcast switching, lighting, and studio infrastructure — enabling independent assessment and execution of multi-system production requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; able to rapidly evaluate production challenges and implement effective technical solutions independently.
Professional and polished executive presence; skilled at building trust and credibility with C-suite and senior leadership stakeholders.
Collaborative and communicative; able to contribute specialized expertise as a peer and technical resource to studio engineers and production partners.
