The Pharmacy Technician II provides comprehensive pharmacy services, including sterile compounding and unit dose dispensing in a complex medical environment. They collaborate with care providers to ensure accurate medication delivery and maintain clean room standards according to regulatory requirements.
Requires a high school diploma and current or pending registration with the MN board of pharmacy. Candidates must be nationally certified or obtain certification (PTCB or ExCPT) within 1.5 years.
Under the direction of the Pharmacist, the Pharmacy Technician II is responsible for day-to-day comprehensive pharmacy technician services in a complex medical environment. This may include unit dose dispensing technology and sterile medication compounding. The Pharmacy Technician II will skillfully use interpersonal, customer service, problem solving and collaboration skills to support and influence operational objectives.
