The Office of Cancer Research (OCR) supports laboratory and clinical research activities across Peter Mac, including over 250 research students, research laboratories and support areas at the Parkville site housing >750 researchers, seven platform technology facilities and a Professional Services team (encompassing corporate and research portfolios).
The role will work within the Research Education team to provide support for academic and professional development activities of Cancer Research students and staff and will provide administrative assistance in the Research Education program within the OCR, with a key focus on assisting the Research Education Officer and Head of Research Education roles. The individual hired for this role will be supporting the administration processes of the education program, including onboarding, meeting coordination, seminar and event management, maintaining the student database, and assisting with the coordination of our educational outreach activities.
This role will also contribute to the development and implementation of research and professional development resources within Cancer Research and the Sir Peter MacCallum Department of Oncology (The University of Melbourne), and will also contribute to broader activities in the Office of Cancer Education (OCE).
You will have demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support, with a capacity to exercise sound judgement, initiative and responsibility in a complex environment.
