Full job description
Finance Operations Associate, Reconciliation
As a Finance Operations Associate supporting Reconciliation, you’ll help support the operational and financial health of Capital One Travel across Flights, Hotels, and Cars. You’ll alongside Senior members of the Finance Operations Reconciliation team and partner with Product Operations, Customer Service, Commercial teams, Finance, technology teams, travel providers, and other internal stakeholders to help ensure accurate financial workflows, reconciliation processes, operational reporting, and exceptional customer experiences across Capital One Travel products.
In this role, you’ll support day-to-day reconciliation and financial operations across multiple travel products. This may include comparing booking, servicing, payment, settlement, provider, and internal financial data; identifying and investigating discrepancies; supporting exception management; and helping ensure financial activity is complete and accurate.
You will support processes related to airline debit memos (ADMs), airline credit memos (ACMs), Airline Reporting Corporation (ARC) and Interactive Agent Reporting (IAR) reconciliation, manual operational workflows, reporting, and servicing investigations. You’ll help support operational controls and financial accuracy while contributing to initiatives focused on automation improvements, process documentation, operational reporting, and workflow efficiency.
You’ll contribute to operational investigations, reconciliation efforts, escalation tracking, and financial issue resolution while partnering with cross-functional teams to support operational excellence and continuous improvement efforts. This role is ideal for someone who is analytical, detail-oriented, technically curious, customer-focused, data-driven, has a strong bias for action, and excited to grow within a fast-paced travel technology environment.
As part of the team’s continued evolution, you’ll also gain exposure to modern automation and AI-powered operational tools used to improve monitoring, workflow efficiency, operational reporting, and issue investigation across the Flights platform.
What You’ll Do
Support day-to-day financial reconciliation and exception-management workflows across Flights, Hotels, and Cars
Assist with ARC and IAR reconciliation tasks to help ensure financial accuracy, operational compliance, and reduce financial losses across the flights platform
Monitor operational queues, reporting, and reconciliation workflows to help identify issues, discrepancies, and trends
Support manual overflow processes and operational exceptions from automated servicing and reconciliations systems
Assist with operational investigations related to ticketing, refunds, exchanges, airline adjustments, and financial discrepancies
Help maintain monthly operational reporting, financial summaries, reconciliation tracking, and process documentation
Collaborate with Customer Service and Learning & Development teams to communicate and resolve agents errors or operational issues with financial impact
Support bug triage, escalation tracking, and operational investigations across servicing and financial workflows
Assist with testing, validation, and QA of new operational tools, workflows, automations, and configuration changes
Use dashboards, reporting tools, and AI-assisted technologies to surface trends, improve workflows, and support operational decision-making
Support operational launches, roadmap activities, and cross-functional initiatives across Capital One Travel categories
Advocate for customer experience by identifying operational gaps and sharing actionable insights with product teams
What We’re Looking For

Technical Curiosity. Interested in learning modern travel technology platforms and operational systems. Comfortable working with technical teams and eager to build familiarity with airline servicing workflows, reconciliation systems, monitoring tools, and financial operations processes.
AI Fluency & Operational Innovation. Comfortable leveraging AI-powered tools and automation technologies to improve operational efficiency, support investigations, streamline workflows, and surface actionable insights. Curious about how emerging AI technologies can enhance operational quality and financial processes.
