The Optometric Technician facilitates patient flow and assists the doctor by performing preliminary diagnostic testing using specialized optical equipment. They are also responsible for verifying insurance, maintaining office cleanliness, and providing a positive patient experience.
A high school diploma or GED is required for this position. Previous medical or ophthalmic office experience is strongly preferred, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

An Optometric Technician is a valuable asset to an optometrist as they assist in providing a world class Total Patient Experience. This team member is able to handle a wide range of duties while using optical equipment to perform the initial testing needed to prepare a patient for an exam with an Optometrist.
